Sindhuja is a renowned exponent of Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, and Andhranatyam which are part of the 7 classical dance styles of India. She combines tradition with innovation, classicism with creativity and ethnic with contemporary. She is an extremely innovative, original, creative, and thoughtful teacher. She is a post-graduate with distinction in Biological Sciences.
Sindhuja was trained in Bharatanatyam under Late Guru Sri K. Adayar Lakshman (prime disciple of Srimathi. Rukmini Devi Arundale). She has been able to imprint his legacy with her own dance persona. She is a good teacher acclaimed by audiences and critics alike in India. Sindhuja is the founder-director of Ragamayuri School of Dance and Yoga. Students from her academy have participated in several programs and got rewarded.
Sindhuja has endeavored to create a new niche for the classical dancers of today. With great fervor, she has attempted to push the frontiers of classical art and to reach out to new and especially young audiences. Sindhuja believes that dance must be linked to life and artists must use their unique position in society to make a difference to life and living.

Ragamayuri School of Dance and Yoga is based in Dallas, founded by Smt. Raga Sindhuja Ghattamaneni; with the aim to support and promote the South Indian classical dance form, Bharatanatyam.
Ragamayuri gives importance to Nritta and Nritya, which focuses on intricate jatis, controlled abhinaya and grace. We train our students to perform with confidence and ease. Ragamayuri is well- known for spotting young talent and nurturing them into talented performing artists.
Only a nominal fee is charged for the classes. All classes are conducted by the guru. Each student gets individual attention in class, nurturing a close relationship with the teacher.
